Our Purpose
Why Bliss Spaces Exists
Independent hospitality owners often carry two responsibilities at once: protecting the identity and value of a property they have created, and turning that property into a commercially sustainable hospitality business. The guest promise must survive recruitment, reservations, housekeeping, food, maintenance, pricing, distribution, purchasing, reporting and thousands of daily decisions.
Bliss Spaces exists to connect those moving parts. The objective is not to make every property look alike. It is to create enough clarity, discipline, market relevance and responsible practice for each property’s individuality to be delivered consistently.
Our Heritage
Part of the Eco Team Group
Bliss Spaces is a wholly owned subsidiary of Eco Team, a Sri Lankan specialist-tourism group whose accommodation operating history dates to 1998. The wider group has developed businesses across specialist accommodation, wildlife and adventure, experiential travel, destination management and sustainability-led tourism. That heritage matters because a hospitality property does not operate in isolation. It depends on destination knowledge, experience design, transport, logistics, people, suppliers, commercial relationships and an understanding of how guests discover and experience a place.

That heritage matters because a hospitality property does not operate in isolation. Bliss Spaces draws on this wider ecosystem while remaining accountable to the owner’s property and agreed scope.
Properties We Understand
From Wilderness Camps to Villas, Hotels and Retreats
The operating background crosses high-end tented safari camps, walking-led wilderness stays, boutique hotels, beachfront villas, heritage properties, hosted accommodation and new ventures preparing to open. The value of that range is not a claim that one model fits every property. It is an understanding of how radically the operating system must change with the asset, location, service promise, guest profile and owner involvement.
Private villas and holiday homes
Boutique hotels
Resorts and retreats
Nature lodges and glamping
Farms, vineyards and unique stays
New and underperforming properties
Our Approach
Our Approach: Understand Before Prescribing
Bliss Spaces begins with the property rather than a standard package. We seek to understand the asset, owner objectives, guest proposition, existing team, systems, commercial position, constraints and responsibilities the owner wants to retain.
Connected Capability
Senior Leadership Across the Complete Hospitality Business
Independent properties need senior thinking across many disciplines, but few can justify employing a complete executive team of their own. Bliss Spaces provides access to senior-level managers who oversee connected functions across the portfolio and become involved according to the management scope and needs of the property.
Our Specialist Network
Our Network: The Right Capability Around the Property
The right property team combines internal capability, local providers and specialist advisers. Responsibilities are agreed around the property and scope.
Responsible Hospitality
Responsible Hospitality Is Part of the Operating Model
The Eco Team Group’s roots in nature-based and experiential tourism have made environmental and community consequences impossible to treat as abstract. Bliss Spaces carries that perspective into villas, hotels, retreats, lodges and short-stay properties, without pretending that every measure or certification suits every asset.
Sri Lankan Depth. Australian Capability.
Sri Lanka provides the group’s deepest operating heritage, destination knowledge, supplier relationships and hospitality infrastructure. Australia adds local-market understanding and current short-stay operating experience, including on-property management capability in Victoria and centrally delivered Airbnb support across Australia.
For owners, the value is not an inflated geographical claim. It is access to relevant capability while keeping delivery boundaries honest. Physical operations, employment, licensing, insurance, suppliers and legal responsibilities remain specific to the property and location.

How the Network Is Selected and Managed
Fit for the property and location, not brand familiarity alone
Clear specifications, quotations, responsibilities and approvals
No hidden assumption that the cheapest supplier creates the lowest total cost
Appropriate due diligence, safety and insurance checks
Defined access, data and confidentiality boundaries for technology providers
Service-level expectations and escalation routes
Local sourcing where it improves resilience, quality and community value
Regular review rather than permanent supplier entitlement
From Intention to Evidence
Establish a realistic baseline before claiming improvement
Prioritise material issues rather than decorative gestures
Assign responsibility and budget
Train teams and build practices into daily routines
Measure what can be measured consistently
Keep invoices, meter data, supplier records and certification evidence
Report progress and limitations honestly
Trust Is Built Through Clear Boundaries
Full management, sales and marketing management, advisory and project work create different levels of authority. Bliss Spaces defines these boundaries in writing so owners, employees, suppliers and guests know where responsibility sits. We do not imply full management where the mandate is sales and marketing only. We do not claim to be the employer where the owner remains the employer. We do not guarantee occupancy, revenue, ratings or investment returns. We do not publish confidential performance information without approval.
